Holiday Motel Lodging with Themed Rooms

Step Back in Time…

Years before our town was claimed Cañon City, the Ute, Sioux, Cheyenne, Kiowa, Blackfoot and Comanche Indians all frequented the area. Thus where some of our rooms obtained their names. Years later the town was used for coal, iron, gypsum, marble and granite in the area. In 1861 residents voted to name the settlement “Town of Canyon City” but a reporter for the meeting used the Spanish Canyon and so became Cañon City. Cañon City was a typical wild western town, complete with shootings, hangings and court convening in a room over a saloon. There are many landmarks still standing today. Take a stroll down memory lane on Main Street for Shopping & Dining.

Cañon City is widely known for The Royal Gorge Bridge Park & Ride. Our town also offers numerous amazing outdoor activities. Visitors come here from around the world to enjoy the peace and quiet. Others come for a sense of adventure! No matter what is on your To-Do list Cañon City offers a lot of recreation, unlimited views, Rivers, and Lakes. Deer, rabbits, Big Horned Sheep, mountain lions, bears and numerous birds (to name a few animals) can be seen all around the area. Click on our “Things To Do” link for more vacation planning.
